I've erased his time at City from my memory.

Was he really that bad or was our midfielder at the time equally as turd and created fuck all chances for him.

Was he worse than Samaras?

Truly shocking.......although I seem to remember going to Burnley for a pre season friendly and many people were raving about him. Couldn't for any reason see why. Oh happy days

Given a chance and with decent support play he wouldn't have been all that bad however he was the wrong player bought at the wrong time and therefore looked shocking. Carl Griffiths was another example but at least he looked dangerous in around the box, those sort of players where championship/league one standard.

I remember some manager or pundit saying we had signed the next Alan Shearer.

Maybe expectations were too high, and he did score some useful goals (Millwall away springs to mind), but overall he was never worth £3m, didn't gel with the team, couldn't head for a big lad, couldn't finish, made me look speedy and was weaker than the missus's cuppa.

*edit*

Did you see Samaras' overhead kick for Greece at the weekend? Samaras is the better player.

What a post to cheer everyone up on a Monday morning lol, the great days under Frank i ain't got a clue Clark.

Just reminding everyone how bad it actually could be. :)

All we've got to worry about these days, is whether we might lose Robinho to Barca in January.
