It's from a 70's TV show called "All In The Game", filmed at Ashton Gate, home of Bristol City....8 teams from England and Scotland competed and we lost in the final to Leicester City in the 2nd series!

Thanks for the info, the series name rings a bell but I can't honestly remember what it involved despite being more than old enough. It doesn't look that competitive, no shinpads in evidence and socks around their ankles.

Pretty sure it was non contact "games", penalties, dribbling and the like......it's a brilliant snapshot of a brilliant City team!

Wasn't Dennis Tueart on Superstars one time? Or did I imagine that. Wish they would put some of the footage at City filmed for Nationwide in about 1978 on You Tube. Do you remember they used to have skill tests for lads on the pitch (after league matches?) with shooting through hoola hoops suspended from the bar and stuff?

Not sure about Tueart but I remember Colin Bell finishing 3rd behind John Conteh and David Hemery in the 1974 Superstars, not too surprising that he was good in that type of all-round athletic contest.
