Just Newcastle between us....

Newcastle could be very nervous and play very nervous against us, as they will have so much to play for.

Newcastle just gave some people a reality check of how much work is left to be done to win the league. They are the second best home team in the league behind only us and just beat Chelsea easily at Stamford Bridge.

Plus a massive effort from Newcastle tonight in London, they have had a hell of a game but if we are patient we will get stronger and our chances will come late on,its important we take the sting out of the game keep the ball and we will win.

Just watching the game and have several observations-

1. Chelsea dont look that arsed. Key men are rested for weekend and they've gone 4-5-1 at home.

2. Tiote is their main man. He's been very good tonight, but to be fair is only up against Jon 'never done anythung memorable whatsoever' Obi Mikel. Yaya will have to dominate him and hold the midfield. He's also just had a proper slap round the chops from Mikel (unintentional) and if he doesnt miss our game he'll at the very least have a belting headache.

3. Cisse is lethal. We cannot afford to give him any space at all. Not even an inch. Not even once. He's had one kick and scored a brilliant goal from it.

4. Their full backs are poor and dont like being run at or fluied movement. Tevez and co must exploit this.

Ive a feeling De Jong may play at least first half or so

Major step back if we do. That's the equivalent of rags picking Park against us. We need to play to our strengths, not cower at theirs.

Don't agree mate. We played better on Monday when de Jong came on. He allows Yaya to get forward and cause havoc. Also we are more solid defensively, which against Newcastle at St. James's is very wise.

De Jong must start. We can win it by keeping it tight with just Aguero up top. Bring Tevez on if it's still 0-0 with 20 mins to go.

I don't doubt that we can win this, but it will be tough.

They got dicked by Wigan and drew to Wolves at home. We're 20 points above them, we can do it.

This has to be the time when we win key games. United did it against Arsenal and Spurs away, this is our big pressure test.

A Chelsea team with more than an eye on Saturday, to be fair.

I would rather play a newcastle side that need the win as much as we do.... Better than them having nothing to play for and parking the bus.

Looks like they might want to play football

Game on.
