Just Newcastle between us....

I am one of the most negative posters on here. I hate it when we don't show up.

In the last 3 weeks we have showed up and I am just glad we have a chance. Nothing is easy in this league, nothing.

We have taken one point off fcking Sunderland for gods sake.

We lost at Swansea who have since proved they are nothing special.

We lost again at everton.

Yet we won 6.1 at the swamp, 5.1 at spurs and 6.1 at Norwich.

This isnt city of old, it's new city who won the Fa cup last year under pressure. Who finished 3rd last year under pressure, who have beaten the rags twice, spurs twice, arsenal,Chelsea and Liverpool this season...oh and Newcastle.

It won't be easy but since when has winning a title been easy.

Chelsea had to win it at the swamp one year as did arsenal.

It's 50/50 but 2 weeks ago we were worried about having to give the rags a guard of honour.

If Newcastle win then they will have to have played well. They have won 6/7. We have won 4/4 and only lost by one goal in all our losses.

We can win at Newcastle but it ain't going to be for the faint hearted.

Credit to Pardew though: excellent job.

i think we'l ok big wide pitch they need somthing from the game so have to come out, there not great at the back against pace this is where we will undo them

I think we have the widest pitch in the prem.Maine Rd was one of the widest in the country and Im sure COMS is same size.

Two wonder strikes from Cisse. His confidence must be sky high. Even against Wigan in a 4-0 defeat he hit the woodwork twice.

Keep Newcastle quiet in first half hour, then they will get frustrated as it's win or bust for them too. Spurs have Villa away and Fulham at home so Newcastle have to get 6 points to stand a chance of 4th. If they draw against us then Spurs only have to get a point at Villa and then beat Fulham at home

I was hoping newcastle would get beat at Chelsea, but really this is perhaps the best possible outcome for us. They have to attack, and the pressure is on. Bonus is that Chelsea wont be in the Champions League next season (Bayern will beat them)

Cup final performance imminent, let's match it.

Alan Pardew has told Sir Alex Ferguson not to give up hope of claiming the Premier League title just yet.

The Man United boss was visibly downbeat after watching his side beaten by their local rivals Man City on Monday, a victory that put Roberto Mancini’s men top of the table with just two games to play.

But one of those two fixtures is against Pardew’s in form Newcastle side, and speaking after watching them claim an impressive 2-0 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge he warned City not to take anything for granted at the weekend.

He reckons the Magpies are able to head into their home game against the league leaders in confident mood.

“We deserve our billing,” Pardew said. “As much as Man City deserve their billing as title contenders we go [into the game] on an even playing field.

“With our best away performance under our belt and if we play like we did against United at home with our fans it makes us special.”

Just had to happen, why couldn't Chelsea just beat them?
Better for us that they attack us and play with pressure. Had they not won, they'd have found it very difficult to get 4th spot and they might have played on the counter-attack which would be dangerous for us

It will be difficult, but so Utd's game at Sunderland will be difficult too. Might turn out that a point at Newcastle will be enough. W ehave to go for 3, but ensure that we come back with at least 1. Way Utd are playing, I wouldn't be shocked if they failed to beat Swansea

Playing De Jong will only increase the atmosphere and hatred. Start with the same team and let's attack them. They will leave gaps.
It's their last home game of the season + they want CL footy so the crowd will already be up for it.

The least of my worries is a chorus of boos before De Jong passes the ball...what the fuck?

If we fail to beat Newcastle, the rags will smash Swansea about 5-0.
