Last time Newcastle beat us in league... Micheael Owen was still a footballer. Sept 2005. 1-0

Of course that doesnt help us score goals today,

And to talk to our Newcastle poster, he says we lost 5 away from home. One was on an off sides call vs Sunderland. One was vs Chelsea when we should have been up 2-0 denied PEN. And other was vs Swansea when both Kompany and Lescott was injured. Now we have those players back.

I guess those are excuses but they are also facts. Our players know they are one away win from wining the title. (for all reasoned minds

You played a Chelsea side that rested 5 players with an eye on the FA Cup Final.

Who cares? This isn't some 'My dad is better than your dad' childish rubbish. I'm just saying that we won, and we'll have confidence off the back of it. That's about it.

Tomorrow will be a manic day, but I think you are a bit cocky about this match, I am guessing because you don't have a lot to lose?

Feel free to show me where I've been cocky. What I've been saying about us having the home advantage is just, well, fact really.

Maybe you shouldn't get so offended just because a team is facing the almighty Man City and feeling hopeful of a result. We're all entitled to our own opinions.

Not offended in the slightest pal, and as someone who has been to many lower (and now non) league grounds to see my team play, I certainly don't see my team as almighty.

Stone in your shoe mate?

You have great reason to hope for, and maybe expect a result against us, I'm praying you don't get it, but I would love somehow for you get into the Champions League.

Now pull your head out from your arse ;o)

jesus, don't talk to us like we're trafford utd fans please.

Newcastle have had a great season and are the team i'd like to get 4th but we're better which is obvious proven by the league table.

tomorrow (well today) is in the balance and will be a good game for the neutral. but not for city or geordie fans.

Newcastle aren't as good as people are making out. They've been due a loss for a while and the manner of their defeat at Wigan suggested the wheels had fallen off. Beating a Chelsea side with one eye on the cup final isn't as good a result as it seems. A long midweek trip to London and a second half spent on the back foot resolutely defending their lead will leave them with less gas in the tank than us. That said, they've only lost twice at home this season, the place will be bouncing and their centre forward is having a purple patch.

From our point of view we're clearly the best team in the land but I still worry about our away form. 2 wins at teams with shit home records doesn't mean we're back at our autumn pomp. We won't be able to control the ball at Newcastle like we did v Norwich and Wolves.

I'd like to see us start off conservatively and concentrate on trying to win the midfield battle and take the heat out of the crowd. 0-0 at half time would set us up nicely for a 2nd half onslaught when we should take advantage of their fatigue.

Win this one game and we have a full week walking around smiling knowing that the best football day in many of our lives awaits us

Can't wait, COME ON CITY

Of course. Your squad is quite a bit better really. I don't think anyone is disputing it. I'm certainly not.

I'm not being cocky about anything, just saying that we have the home advantage and I would hope that it makes it a bit more of a level playing field.

The team which gives the most effort and intensity on the day is also extremely important of course. I bet if we played this match tomorrow 10 times over, we would win some of them, you guys would win some of them and there would be a few draws. Sometimes it simply comes down to how the chips fall on the day.

Not long now!
