Just Stop Oil protests

Innocent people? Haha fuckin hell. Not even going into the last bit.

To put it very simply as you don't seem to get the gist. If people find these protesters annoying then why should the protesters care because they certainly find the self interested annoying.

Or is it only certain peoples annoyance that should be given consideration? Surely not eh?
I stoped reading at you laughing at innocent people .. why ?

Last on it because I'm off to bed and I can't be arsed arguing with someone lacking logic or not even attempting to understand another point of view.

I have yet to meet a person who genuinely is concerned about the climate complain about a protest. They don't tend to complain about protests in general. One cannot expect to agree with every protesters cause.

So as per usual people only bothered about their own bubble do the moaning. You laughable call them innocent which is highly amusing.

Maybe some counselling could be offered to these innocents. I mean with all the problems in the world waiting a minute for debri to be cleared could be the tipping point.

Have a good evening.

I certainly was not arguing my original comment was in reply to
'Thats why demonstartions work because they cause disruption.
If they dont cause disruption generally they are not effective.'
And I questioned if the disruptions being caused were effective and what change was being made .
I most certainly have not labeled those protesting in any way, however you have those who don't agree with them .
What I see is law-abiding people going .about there every day life and having it distributed, and not only by a bit of litter but not being able to get to work etc . All I simply asked is are these disruptions effective ?
Have a good rest goodnight

So you're the arbiter of whom is "genuinely concerned"? (Seems somewhat arrogant and presumptive).
What would constitute that in your book? I'm assuming not anyone who is hypocritical on this issue?
Does throwing orange powder and jigsaw pieces whilst interrupting people in their occupations and pastimes make them more genuine? Where does it put us match attending City fans - genuine, innocent or hypocrites?

able Are these demonstrations working ? What changes have been made due to them.? Other than the rest of the population thinking they are a bunch of annoying cvnts ?
If demonstrations did not work, those who died at Peterloo would have done so in vain, the suffragette who threw herself in front on the Kings horse on Derby Day would have died in vain, if demonstrations did not work the Mosleyite fascists would have marched down Cable Street unopposed, but they met resistance to an ideology that some on here seem quite comfortable espousing.

You have the right as it stands rather tenuously to counter demonstrate against the "cunts" are you going to do it or are you just a keyboard warrior who has been gas lit by the capitalist class into believing opposing protests is in your interests.

some of the rest of the population
i know many who dont think they are cunts

as for changes, well thats going to take time and lots more demos and lots more disruption. its the way of the world

for example suffragette movement (the disruptive and radical offshoot of the suffragists movement that had been campaigning for half a century peacefully and causing no disruption, but making little headway) was formed in 1903 and carried out disruptive demos for the next 15 years before women got the vote.

He's right - most folk just aren't that arsed.

I really don't care. The protests have not directly affected me and are unlikely to do so because of my location in the UK.

I do however sympathise with their cause - only a complete fuckwit would campaigning for a more polluted overheated world that threatens all human life.

If the actions of a few people disrupt a couple of high profile events and get the gammon foaming at the mouth so what? Job done. Like just about everything thats wrong it needs people to sit down at a table and discuss their problems to thrash out compromises - they all end with compromise but with the total pricks in charge of the UK right now nothing has progressed for a few years.

Fuck me the gammon mob are in, edgy fuckers just bang on and on about it :)

Once protesters interfere with normal peoples lives like getting to work and their entertainment, wether it be tennis, football. Golf, snooker etc....

Then their public support diminishes.

If we all supported their cause to the max we'd all be running about throwing orange stuff around and gluing ourselves to the roads.
