Juve away

This was posted a while ago by someone but if you didn’t see it. Not sure how accurate the digital ticket is as City said it’s now print at home?

Juventus
  • Fan Meeting Point has been advised as ‘Valentine Park’ there are plenty of bars here
  • Man City shuttle buses will be in service from the Valentine Park to the stadium with a police escort from 6pm and will return back following the match
  • It is advised our fans use these free shuttle buses for their safety in travelling to and from the stadium.
  • The shuttle buses are not wheelchair accessible therefore fans are advised to take a taxi to the stadium.
  • Fans are advised to allow early for 3 security checks (ID, body search, ticket check)
  • It is very important for fans to note that ID checks will take place. Tickets will be digital, however due to Italian bylaws the club (Man City) has to provide names and passport numbers to the authorities with the seat location of each fan. Upon scanning the ticket, the stewards will be presented with the name and passport number of the fan on their device and the fan will then have to show their ID. ID can be passport or driving license and must be physical. Pictures/photocopies are not allowed.
  • Juventus have advised that each fan will be required to take off their shoes as part of the body searches, which is their standard protocol. We have strongly requested that this does not happen and is only in place if there is a reason to believe (by police/search dogs) that a fan is attempting to gain entry with a prohibited item. Juventus Safety Team have agreed to this, however we do wish that our fans are prepared to remove their shoes if asked and comply with police to ensure no issues upon entry
  • Low percentage alcohol will be available in the concourse, not to be taken into the seats
  • There will be a holdback of 30-40 mins
  • The away end has a glass fence and netting. We have requested the netting is taken down however likely to remain in place
  • Turnstiles open 2 hours before kick-off
  • Stadium is cash & card, small bags only and no bag storage area. Battery packs are ok
Imagine treating paying customers at any event like that. The police in Paris will be even worse. It doesn’t have to be like this as shown by many other countries like Germany, Switzerland etc etc. I pick my Euro aways these days. I am just too old to be treated like shit by the football authorities. I don’t criticise those Blues who will go to Italy and Paris. It is just not for me any more.

Few of us doing Milan Malpensa Tue-Thursday then on a coach straight to Turin, worked out far easier and cheaper than train going back into Milan then changing station and going from there.

For Bratislava has the option of digital or print at home may be something similar.

I was aware of the park and buses but I was under the impression that it would be mandatory, it was for spurs a few seasons ago and teams they have played earlier this campaign. Entry into the away section was only possible via the shuttle buses. Once I see the above officially from city I might raise that with who I have heard the above from.

If optional I'm just making my own way there.

I have also been told that they will confiscate pretty much anything when entering the ground, if women have mirrors etc in their bag or if people are carrying powerbanks they will be taken by stewards.

I have also heard it is likely to be trainers and socks during the searches but you know how that will go. Italian police will just make it up as they go along the Juve stewards won't have any say over it. It was similar at the San Siro for the Atalanta game when they was heavy handed. They set the dogs on some city fans that night, including me, and GMP who was over there had all our details taken (threatening to get us banned by city) for telling the stewards to eff off when they did it...

I think most regulars are beginning to lean the same way and it's evidenced by the slow ticket sales when compared to our bigger allocation for the previous fixture in Lisbon.

The only point where I'd possibly disagree is the treatment by the Paris Police who from memory were far friendlier than expected on our previous visits (albeit my expectations couldn't have been lower)

Those coppers at San Siro were a fucking disgrace, absolutely desperate for it to kick off so when it wasn’t just started shoving people with their riot shields anyway.

Does anyone who's been before remember how long they're likely to keep us held back after the game?
I went the last time we played em, got beat
1-0 they kept us in for about an hour if I recall
correctly ..

Ps.. Anyone got any tips on city centre hotels?
Can’t remember where I stayed last time but it was near an Irish bar :-)

For the game when we played in December at the temporary ground freezing our bollocks off we all amassed in the Huntsman pub near to the train station before and after the game.
City’s plane got delayed and we ended up leaving Turin about the same time as them and chatted with the players in the departure lounge.

Just got to that point in life where I can’t tolerate being treated like shit. I have sacked Anfield off after 40 years on away visits. Last year got hassle from their scumbag fans on the train going and back, in the town centre, and outside the ground. Plus being ripped off by taxis etc. Just don’t need that in my life any more. Still love most away trips though.

Got 2 for Anfield but I wont be going anywhere near that shit hole.
My 2 boys are going.
Told them no Stone Island or 3 stripes. Otherwise they will be targetted.
