Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

The club should have had contingency plans for bad injuries to key players but piss poor planning and management meant we didn’t and has left our season in tatters

I’m just amazed that Haaland hasn’t picked up a season ending injury …. Yet !!!
The issue is who would you actually bring in to really complement the current set who would be content in playing as a squad player? Although we were dicing with Rodri's fitness, we did give him the game off vs Chelsea in the opening game and we performed well.

Time to ban the reverted fullback bullshit once and for all.

No team win a CL World cup or Euro with a reverted fullback.

Pep ditched the idea for half of a season and we won Treble.

Out of this terrible run we won only once when Pep ditched the idea and played Grealish + Gundo at the base in our 3-2-5 shape. Josko as a traditional fullback holding the width for Doku and Grealish and occasionally join the attack. We lost (or luckily get a draw) all other games when we got "reverted fullback" or better (hybrid center back) playing with Gundo.

It is not rocket science that when you have problems in the midfield, the best way is to play midfielders there!

Ask Josko Rico or whoever the "attacking" defender to just play the traditional fullback role and stay away from the midfield.

If Pep does not get it a try he will continue to lose lose lose lose....

I keep an Excel spreadsheet of all our games. When we get beat I highlight the score in red - it is beginning to look as though I support the rags (hell will freeze over before I would even consider going down that path) There are far too many red squares displayed on the monitor at the moment.

We played ok but I think it was more to do with Chelsea being absolutely all over the place

That was 2002/03

The previous win was 1989
