I don't think people are turning on them, they're just pissed off with the current form. Putting injuries to one side, why wasn't the drop off forecasted in the summer if it was so obviously going to happen. Can't recall many predicting it tbh.

It’s also the manner of the defeats/performances. Every goal we've conceded is the same. Every goal!. Every game is exactly the same, pass, pass, pass, give ball away, countered, one chance, goal! Every single game!

We play the same system constantly, same players, same subs at stupid times, same set pieces that are ridiculously unproductive. Everything is the same and no one seems to have another idea or explanation or pragmatism to say let’s change something. It’s like we are just waiting for it to change and doing nothing proactive to change it.

I was expecting a 0-0 tonight. We gave them 2 bad goals, imho. That was always likely.
They defended well, and that was always likely.
So, that said, we shouldn't be so disappointed. Pep has to do the business between now and Sunday to get his boys in the mindset that THEY are the Champions and United are fucking shite, and must be put in their place and given nothing. 4 days now to prepare.
The scum play away in their euro game tomorrow, so won't be back till early Friday morning. Hopefully, we use the extra prep time to our advantage.

CL money goes a huge way to balancing the books.

Think of our huge turnover and then the tiny profit that is made.

No CL next year and no squad overhaul.

Not sure about that as the cup in America is as much money as the CL so that is covered

I think that's about as hopeful but still rational as it gets.

But my frustration is that nothing seems to be working. We're in the doldrums. No wind in our sails. We just need to ride it out I guess. If we can win two more games before January I would be elated. I would love for a City win over the rags. Villa seems a challenge as we are away. If we can't beat Everton and Leicester, then the wheels will have come off right before the window opens.

Ok but WHY is our injury list so long season after season???

Several reasons:
Bringing players back too early
Over-playing recently injured players
Relying on a small squad when we've had several shortened summer breaks for multiple reasons meaning senior players get few breaks.
Not trusting kids at all so none appear ready for a first team game, and once again senior players get few breaks.
Plus, as a squad where virtually everybody plays for their countries, there is no rest during international breaks.
