Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

It’d be daft to claim this as a good thing. But moving forward….

We won’t turn up with a sense of procession. A leveller psychologically to the threads of ‘5-0 at 60 mins, took the foot off the gas, why doesn’t he…’

Maybe teams will come and play a game with us? The more they’ve retracted, the more we’ve strangled them to death. I’d hope everyone with common sense has appreciated the end game, getting to finals, winning leagues and trebles. But the inevitability and predictability has also strangled the life out of atmosphere, competitive fun for fans and winning with a sense of jeopardy.

I’d never change things for the world. We’ve been spoilt. But we’ve achieved everything a blue could ever hope for. This is forcing a re vamp and with the quality of management, execs, half the squad and recruitment ahead, the future may change the match day sense of exhilaration. The next phase will be one of flair and excitement I suspect.

And if not. So what? Most of us did this for what felt like an eternity, had a gripe, kept some humour, travelled in numbers and never lost pride in being Blue.
Not spoilt.....repaid for our loyalty !!

Regretably, the club has chosen to ignore the contents of the letter from The Shiekh to fans and the regular comments by Khaldoon, that the fans are the bedrock of the club.

Wake up City.....high prices & poor performances are not attractive ingredients, particularly with 8000 additional seats to sell !!

Pep won’t leave, can you imagine all that good work he’s done would be forgotten if he walked whilst in this mess, then the narrative that he can only do it with money and when the goings good would follow him. For him to rebuild this team from January towards fighting for next season title would be a great legacy. I think he needs a strong number 2 who is t afraid of calling him out now and not just a Phil Neal type yes man like he has now. This season is done for me now it’s just about getting top 4, no amount of new signings in January will make a blind bit of difference unless you are spunking £150 million per player to meet release clauses.
Teams have always known how to play against us on the break but we had players who clubs cope with it, now we don’t, the derby is going to be a shit show, they will sit back and pump it over the top like every other fucker does because the beautiful bald bastard won’t change! And if you think we are winning the World Club cup no fucking chance.

The lost CL revenue will be partly off set by the CWC revenue.

Next seasons revenue will be hit if were not in the CL.

Theres not nuch money in the Thursday night cup which top players wont sign for.

Qualifying for next years CL is absolutly essential IMO !!
If only to attract top players…….no CL and they won’t sign

Clearly mistakes made

But I stand by us being spoilt. Compare the loyalty of fans up and down the country. They’d bite your hand off for just one league or cup win. Let alone consecutively or in Europe.

The commercial discussion is a different debate. I’m taking about the competitive experience.

Sideways, sideways, sideways, back, sideways, back, back, sideways, sideways, sideways

We are Side-to-SideChester City!

Going to Juve and winning was always going to be tough but holy hell.. that was a bad watch.

And it proves we royally shot ourselves in the foot with Feynoord..

Ederson at fault for both goals again.. /sigh
Ederson my arse, defenders at fault, midfield at fault, Guardiol

Ederson my arse, Defence and midfield at fault, particularly Gvardiol for his Sunday league clearance for the first and, where was Walker, again, for the second, he trotted into our area after the ball hit the back of the net, with the scorer in acres of space and time, what was he doing ffs?!

well, we've pretty much proven once and for all that you can't be a good team without a good middle. or fullbacks. or attack that likes to score.

it's been interesting Pep, you've made your point, can we go back to being good again?

(it'll come lads and lasses, just got to grind it out, i fear a bit more pain is on the horizon yet)
