Exactly!

Still a chance to finish top 8 but equally still a chance we don't make the knockouts so we have to go strong. Great boost ahead of the derby if we put in a performance tonight.

And the weaknesses in our team can't be addressed because alternative players aren't available.

They would wrap Kevin in cotton wool if they felt it necessary. Arguably they did that for the previous month or so and he is now ready to go and play consistently. If Foden or Kovacic can play any part tonight/Sunday I am sure he will come off and get some rest. If we played yesterday he might not have started but the extra day helps.
 
Bernie and Grealish out wide will cover Walker and Rico much more than Savinho and Nunes - I know Jack will probably start in the middle, but against Forest he frequently dropped into left back.

Plan is to give it to Doku and KDB as much as possible, hope for the best.
 
Fuck it, that front 5 is capable of doing some damage, let’s be clinical blue boys and get a few shots off. Would love to see Jack (or any of them) take a couple of shots when he’s in and around the box.

Just need the back 6 to cut out the recent fuck ups.

Oh how I wish I were in Italy but unfortunately not. Just getting my scarf and match going top and jumper on ready to cheer the lads on from my armchair. I have to insult the media and the officials before the game. ;-)



Now I'll get slated for being an armchair fan but got hospital tests tomorrow and hopefully get the all clear to attend the Derby. Keep your fingers crossed for me please. :-) :-)

Savinho actually does some good work when we’re on the back foot

I suspect we’ll be playing three at the back with Lewis, Gundo, KDB aand Grealish in the middle, Bernie, Haaland and Doku up front.

Of course, I’ve been wrong before !

And it's not like either of them has any legs as it is.

Agree as to Grealish's positioning. We've all seen enough of a midfield with Gundo and Silva. Doesn't work.
