Resting players to win on Wed had better pay off.
I'm not holding my breath, but I can see why Otamendi and Fernandhino didn't start, especially as they were both in South America midweek, and neither of the two CB's that played today, played midweek.

I think we'll see a significant reaction though, but winning the group is important for the next stage, and as I said, like it or not, our owner would accept third if we could win the CL.

Personally I don't think we're even close just now, and would prefer to win the league like most blues, but we're not Pellegrini's boss, and I'm sure his main target this season is to get as far in that as possible.

The best form you can take into a match is winning form.

Over two legs against any of the last 16 we will be up against it and it shouldn't compromise our league form.

The manager and the players just didn't show up today at all both are to blame for that shambles of a display.

Massive improvement needed by everyone or Southampton will pick us off without much trouble.

The only saving grace for us so far is that the premiership this year is of a poor standard but again if we are not our game we are easy fodder for the opposition even at home.

Leicester work hard and graft but with due respect the fact they are on top after 13 games over a third of the season and a side that is just trying not to concede and able to do it because of the lack of quality in the league is second tells you a lot about the rest of the league so far.

I really hope we have some up side because its likely we won't get a decent rub of the green with injuries again this season.

A number of players really have to step up but past domestic success suggests they are content as things are.

This is the team i would like to see:

Hart
Sagna Otamendi Demi Kolorov
Delph Yaya Dinho
Navas De Brunye
Aguero

No way can demichelis play although mangala was poor demichelis was equally as bad. Every time he has started we've lost 4-1 so.

Hart
Sagna otamendi mangala kolarov
Fernandinho delph
Navas De bruyne Sterling
Aguero

Let's not get beat.

Hart

Zaba Otamendi Mangala Clichy

Fernando

Delph Fernandinho

De Bruyne Aguero Sterling

Plenty of fight and att power in that side. Hopefully we can get a win and rest players for the Gladbach game.

Come On City.

This. Zabaleta is a warrior. We lack leaders. Not only should he play he should be captain. Kolorov needs dropping because if he isn't they will target him. As well as we played in Seville, defensively yet again he was the weak link with cross after cross coming in while he stood with his hands behind his back.
