Flyin out to milan thursday morning. Can anyone provide an idiot proof guide to getting from milan to turin by train. Is it cheaper to book in advance, train prices etc. Cheers in advance for any help.

I cannot promise this is an idiots guide but as I booked it you should have no probs.
go onto <a class="postlink" href="http://www.raileurope.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.raileurope.co.uk</a> they were the cheapest fares I could find and the easiest to book.
It cost me £17 each way. You need to specify the time of train you want but the site is simple. They then post your tickets out to you, (so leave plenty of time-book now !) On another site someone has warned that you need to validate your ticket at the station before travelling or it is a heavy fine but other than that, I did it so I am sure you can.

Anyone in turin on the wed? Or just me and my mate then as you all seem to be in milan!

There will be quite a few in Turin on the Wednesday. Apparently some are meeting in an English pub (not sure of the name of it though).

I shall be exploring the Christmas Market and buying a few presents for the family to counteract spending their inheritance on going to what DD describes as a match that we are wasting our money on!! Silly person, any Euro match is great and I am glad that I have visited Salzburg and Poznan and I am looking forward to this match as well.

DD, no disprespect mate but you sound rather miserable!! :-)

if you could choose your last 16 opponnets who would it be:)?

For an occasion, Borussia Dortmund probably. Somewhere where you can guarantee a decent crowd and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, they are going to have to win at Sevilla which is going to be a tall order.

I've no time for them, but an away day at Rangers would be an experience too.

I must admit, I am glad I haven't wasted my money on this one. Juve Youth v City Youth in front of 2,500 people (2,400 from City) in a city where you can't have a good drink.

Schalke and Poznan will live in the memory as proper European away days. This will have all the atmosphere and sense of occasion of a pre-season friendly against a Swedish Fourth Division outfit.

Oh, and you won't see past the half way line because of fog! :-)

Nothing like a happy fooker. We were strong favourites to have gone through before this fixture was due. But for me, to not go and watch City against Juventus was too much to turn down. I have this earlier, this is what dreams are made off

As i posted in the other threads ... i can host 2-3 people at my flat that week ... also since i stay in turin and probably am the only man city fan living in italy (not that i'm italian obviously), i would be up for a couple of beers/showing u arnd the local city on wednesday evening/night ;)
