That doesn't work, we still don't have a nailed on place for Bernardo same for Foden.
Just because someone is available doesn't even mean we should sign.
We haven't even been properly linked to him
Every time I see people make this argument all I can think of is Paul Merson asking why we would ever buy Yaya Toure when we already have Patrick Vieira, James Milner, Nigel de Jong and Gareth Barry.
Pep wanted us to have a squad of Sané, Sterling, Jesus, Aguero, Mahrez, Bernardo, D. Silva, De Bruyne, Foden for the front 5 positions this season, with Gundogan also available. 9 players + 1 cover.
Currently we are down 2 of those players, and another is off with a nasty knee injury.
So the idea we can't buy someone like Havertz as well as a winger like Torres is complete fiction.
It's doubly not true when we're going into what will be the most back-breaking season in football history, with zero preseason break and condensed fixtures with possibly a CWC to go to as well as the usual 4 competitions.
We've got plenty of room for Torres, and a Havertz/Felix type. Especially if they're that good.
