Napoli are 12 points behind 4th place Atalanta so CL next season is out the window. This is a club that depends on such an income stream.

Koulibaly just helped Napoli win the first trophy in some years. So he would go out on a high.

Gattuso recently confirmed he only expects 80% of the squad to stay meaning outgoings to generate money are expected.

If we can sell Stones or Otamendi it still leaves Garcia to get plenty of games under his belt in rotational matches. But Laporte and Koulibaly would give us the best centre half pairing in the league.

Laporte, Koulibaly, followed by Fernandinho and Garcia is the perfect combination of CBs. Best pairing in the league complemented with an experienced veteran and a top class young talent.

ideally we’d get rid of both Stones and Otamendi but it’s unlikely.

This is the one defender in world football really worth going all in for.
Just looks imperious every time I've watched him.
Watched him dispossess salah with ridiculous ease, multiple times. Was like watching an adult play against a child.
If we were to sign only him this summer I'd be more than happy

Now this would be one fantastic signing, even more so if he doesn’t end up with the Scousers.

Sounds too good to be true & the way Chelski are nailing down targets I wouldn’t put it past them to pay up & move on to the next.

I'm not going to get my hopes up on this one, but he'd be in theory an absolutely excellent signing.

He is certainly good enough and would materially improve our defence, which is more than can be said about most the other players we’ve been linked to. The only issue is his age and the price. If we can get him for under £70m then I’d say it is certainly worth considering. Expensive, yes. But the risk is minimal. We should be able to recoup something from Otamendi and Stones. We have Garcia for the future and we can always bring Tosin back.

Sign this guy but keep Stones, otherwise we'd be one centre-back injury away from where we were this season. Get rid of Otamendi, yes, but not Stones.

Not convinced by Garcia, he isn't tall enough to be a PL central defender. Very skilful, and reads the game well, but he needs the physique to go with those attributes in this league. Maybe he'd be better as a DM?

Koulibaly would be a great signing.
