Lol Messi saga has at least 3-4 weeks in it imo, highly doubt he would be here in time for the Wolves game on the 21st.
The CB situation has to be solved before that, would prefer any new expensive CB to be part of at least 1-1.5 weeks of pre season.

I really hope we don't start chasing Messi and lose out on this guy. Central defence is the absolute priority for me. We should give Napoli an ultimatum and move on if needs be.

That would be the ultimate irony. Defence is our obvious problem, yet we add Spain’s most promising young forward and Messi but start the new season with Ake, Laporte, Stones and Otamendi.
