Unfortunately I think you at right. They behaved the same way with Sanchez and Maguire. Links will resurface now to put pressure on us to pay up.

Maybe but it could all be a negotiation tactic for us to pay the realistic fee of 60-63 million but we didn’t realise the rags were this shit defensively. Napoli president will be rubbing his hands at the prospect of a large united bid.

I said a week or so ago that I could see us going back, even if we sign someone else. If we can sell Ota, Garcia and Stones. We would go back for KK and throw 50m on deadline day. As you say though, rags might stump up the full whack now.
