Sorry mate but there's no way Dinho should be nowhere near starting X1 next season. He's been brilliant for us, and will remain crucial for us next season IMO more off than on the pitch. Laporte, Garcia, Stones and Koulibaly would be a dream for me, I'd also like THB playing more game time much like Garcia this year. Otamendi can bugger off.Laporte as our 1st choice

It seems Fernandinho is so under rated the past two seasons as CB.
He wins more Aerial duels than Laporte, more tackles, clearances , blocks...etc
Each one of them has his strength, but both of them done really well.
If you compare their numbers there is no big difference between the two.

Fernandinho also makes far fewer interceptions, gives the ball away more and concedes far more fouls (plus 7 yellow cards and 2 red cards to Laporte’s one booking).
Don’t get me wrong, Fernandinho has coped admirably in the position but we need an experienced specialist at the top of his game to partner Laporte.
Fernandinho has been excellent as a makeshift centre back but we can’t enter the new season with a 35 year old defensive midfielder at the heart of our defence.It seems Fernandinho is so under rated the past two seasons as CB.

There’s even an argument for us to sign two centre backs given the uncertainty surrounding Garcia’s future and Laporte’s past injury woes.
I’m not usually a fan of signing players in their late twenties but I’d be delighted if we signed Koulibaly this summer. It’s just a shame we failed to strengthen this area last year.

But it's clear as day we need a top class CB to partner with Laporte. Relying on Fern, Stones, Ota, and Garcia is a recipe for disaster. We desperately need another CB that can step in and play at a high level right away, otherwise we will face the same exact problems this year.

There is a certain team who think Phil Jones is acceptable , so I wouldn't worry too much.
