I hope this deal is not dead as I think Koulibaly is our best option imo. However, we all knew this deal would be a nightmare to get over the line. Assuming Garcia leaves we need another cb in, perhaps Upamecano if Koulibaly is now off the radar even though he has just signed a new contract.

I think this can be the story for ages. I am reserving the judgement as of now but I would like to see how he performs in the EPL this season along with whoever City brings. Their defence is as a disaster as ours, they do have a decent pair of fullbacks and both us and they play a similar kind of football with both of our managers sharing the same kind of values and vision.
What I have seen of City, we will end up paying north of 70 million for a defender anyway. Gabriel cost one third the amount and is relatively young. But as I said I will reserve the judgement until at least a good 6 months into the season.
Ironic Arteta fucked up this deal for us by signing Napolis replacement for Koulibaly. I knew it was bad news.
The thing here is many are so confident Napoli need to cash in. ADL rather keep a world class CB like Kouli for the rest of his career if he don’t get good cash or find a decent replacement.
Haven’t we learned anything from the Jorginho saga? We can’t play this too slow and hardball especially not with ADL, as we need this more than anything. Honestly Messi and Aouar is just a bonus, I don’t really care, but ffs pay the money and then ask them to go fck themselves.
If this fails over a 5-10m valuation I’ll be so pissed. It would just be pride on Txikis part. They’re trying to beat each other in ”who’s the touchest negotiator”. Sometimes you just need to stop fck around and pay up. We wouldn’t have to sign any high profile defender for years if this goes through so just do it.

Well I will be fuming if this turns out to be true. Not because KK is the second coming of Maldini but because our brilliant defence scout could only figure out only one defender that a kid in brazil could also suggest but Txiki too for going back to this **** ADL who have fucked up the deal once again for us.
How the hell In the whole freaking planet there is not one another defender that could suit us beside the obvious 60-70 million geniuses Carlos and KK.
