He's a good player. My.concern is that I don't think we can offer what he'll undoubtedly be wanting which is to play week in week out.

Seems a nice, well grounded kid and if he's happy to do a job for us, and Pep/Txiki want him that's more than good enough for me.

I would hazard a guess that the Rice story is as far fetched as the one by Delooney about Phillips.
There's no way West Ham will drop their asking price by 30 or 40 million and we will not be paying 60 million for Phillips, 45 million plus Delap on loan.

I definitely don't know any better than the people currently managing the club to unbelievable heights, that's for sure. But if you ask me would I be happy with this player for the quoted price (which btw, I don't believe is true), then I am saying show me option #2 and #3.

and you know what, I think the people managing the club would eventually agree, as I said I don't believe this price at all.
