Why is your assessment so inaccurate then?Over the last seasons quite a lot

Probably not as it’s not a word.Have we seeked a replacement yet?
Roca mainly. But Aaronson is also a player in the midfield. Also seen Adams and nor Leeds wants LaviaHave we seeked a replacement yet?
Roca and Aaronson have nothing to do with Phillips leaving or not as we need a total overhaul in midfield anyway. Phil Hay (our equivalent of Sam Lee) has said Roca was always coming in and we’ll look to sign another midfielder if Phillips leaves. Lavia I think would be 1st backup/competition as as good as he might potentially be I wouldn’t want to rely on an untested 18 year old replacing one of our 2 most important players. Based on rumours the 2 strongest links for a Phillips replacement for us are Tyler Adams and Mohamed Camara.Roca mainly. But Aaronson is also a player in the midfield. ~20% of fernandinhos minutes played last year were not at cdm. They were at cb and cm. Can’t wait to see Phillips line up at cb. Will be great.
Well then, it’ll start popping up then soon cuz this deal seems to be closeRoca and Aaronson have nothing to do with Phillips leaving or not as we need a total overhaul in midfield anyway. Opppppppssssssssssssssssssssss sorry you are correct I didn`t read the post properly. That's what I was alluding too, if you read it more carefully.
At City we are a squad and Phillips will be part of that squad and will play as many games as the majority of that squad.
Just for reference
These are the ones who actually started in matches between 19 and 26 times
Foden 24
Mahrez 15
Fern 19
Ilkay 20
Grealish 22
Gabby 21
Kyle 20
Kevin 25
Do the Phillips doubters on here think they are squad players
I don't and he will be getting that number of appearances.
I will wait on your apology !!!
So not much different to what Stones does.Ederson pass to Phillips, Phillips pass back to Ederson.
Ederson pass to Phillips, Phillips pass back to Ederson.

I agree mate, we need to bring in someone who is adept at the DM position. But then the beauty of someone like De Jong is we'd be getting someone adept at several positions across the middle. People suggest he wouldn't want to come to play second fiddle but who is to say it would be Rodri he'd be supplanting? He could just as easily claim another midfield spot as his own. If we're willing to spend £60mil on a midfield addition then why not supplement that with the funds we receive for Jesus/Sterling and bring in a bona-fide world class midfielder. We won't need another attacker in my opinion, not with how we're currently looking, and we're at the starting point of reinventing our midfield. Gundo has one season left. Kev probably has two seasons of his best football left. Bernie, if we're brutally honest with ourselves, wants to leave and will likely do so in one season max. And we've just lost one of the finest midfielders to ever pull on our shirt. Midfield is *the* vital component of a football team, moreover a Pep team, and we need to keep it stacked with the very best in my opinion.
I've banged this drum ad infinitum now, so in the spirit of diplomacy I'll make this my last post on the player; I don't think Kalvin Phillips is good enough for us; that's my opinion on him in condensed form. I think he has deficiencies that will be exposed the moment he plays alongside the rest of our midfield. Last night did nothing to assuage my apprehension; I know it was a one off match and they were poor as a collective, but I still expected to see something, anything. And nobody is going to convince me the club can't find better for £60mil. It's a ludicrous fee that, given his form of the last year, cannot be justified.
Anyway, like I say, it's looking certain that he'll be pulling on our Sky Blue, so I'll get behind him because that's my obligation as a supporter. I just pray he proves me, and many others, wrong.
FDJ prob gonna cost you an extra 60+ mil over the same period IF you can get him down to 300k a week. and the both go for 60m in transfer fee. Looking at the numbers aboutMdj listen mate I fucking agree with everything you just said. And the above quote is the objective better answer. If they’re going to drop the amount of money they presumably will on Phillips (even if it’s 40-50) then I cannot see how the above isn’t a more viable solution to your points.
