Leeds wanting Mactee, talk of him doing the job for them over the next ten years. Surely City would only let him go on loan or a buy back.
I, for one, would be well pissed off if it’s a sell, not a loan…I’ve been watching him (granted from the OS, not in the flesh) and he has the potential to be right up there…his play is sublime, he has a great free kick in him and he knows where the back of the net is…I would seriously question whoever made that decision if it happened…

How about if it was James himself who made it. He's clearly not as close as Palmer is to the squad, how much longer does he need to keep waiting for a chance.

My strong impression too, admittedly from the same limited source. Anybody on here been along to see him play and able to give a balanced assessment? More than anyone else that's emerged from the academy since Foden, he looks like potentially the real deal to me.

He signed a 4 1/2 year deal just 4 months ago, seems a bit far-fetched to think he would already be desperate to leave the club his been with since he was 10.

Wasn't the talk at the time that he'd sign but wanted a loan. Had assumed that would be from Jan, but maybe a season with Leeds as part of the deal.

An interesting one with Leeds was they were top of the that net spend table since summer 2020 that came out recently. Considering no European football and I'd assume lower sponsorship than other big spenders, I wonder how their accounts are looking, especially with a new manager who'll want him own players? A loan to delay some spending might be something they need

I think he just wanted convincing the plan 'loan or otherwise' would be their and the best for him before he signed.
