Kalvin Phillips is hardly an underrated type of signing for us but on the other hand he is hardly shit on the stick either. For me he is a Fabian Delph who didn't do too badly considering.

I'm not denying it- just providing the reasoning behind why it didn't work- to blame it on pep would be to suggest that his quality wasn't there- his first few games for us showed his quality

I get what you are saying but a complete idiot like him must have shown these tendencies before he joined us (not even accounting for the current issues ) If anything whoever scouted him is to blame for not doing the proper due diligence. It’s not just about football ability at this level.

Definitely a bad signing. Pep rarely gets it's wrong in the transfer market we've done unbelievably well in the windows since Peps arrival at the club. We've had some really bad signings over the years and sometimes numerous bad signings in one window under previous managers.

I think we can let Pep away with the Mendy one.

Yes absolutely. Overall fantastic. When you think of Jovetic, Rodwell, Bony etc, he is the transfer king!

If Rodri get's any type of injury, people will appreciate a signing like this exponentially more.

Think about Ake last season with our defender crisis, came in and fit like a glove.

For this price for an england international, we got a great deal, we really shouldn't be complaining. In fact I've seen other fans think we paid too little.

I think we have to bite the bullet when it comes to Mendy, Yes he has had his injury problems but we have to hold our hands up and admit he was a disaster waiting to happen when called upon he cost us in numerous games.
