He has a whole seasonHe know has 3 games to prove he has the quality
I think he has 2 because if he does not perform against Newcastle and Wolves, pep won't select him for Arsenal. He know has 3 games to prove he has the quality
He was good and is good. Is he good enough maybe not but comparing him to Rodri is daft. Nobody in the world is Rodri levelI want KP to do well, I really do, but he wasn't good yesterday. There were plus points I'll grant you, he made some good runs and has the ability to pick a pass through or over the lines too, but as a defensive midfielder in the Rodri role he was poor. He lost pretty much every physical battle, he was usually in the wrong place to receive the short pass (you don't really notice how Rodders is always there until he or his replacement isn't) and generally looked confused about his role.
He did ok yesterday.
According to a Leeds season ticketholder I know well he is one of those players who needs games to get up to speed. Whether he will get them now or Kova and Nunes will be paired as a double pivot is yet to be seen.
IndeedSome of the criticism is way over the top.
Not bad goin' then for Taylor as we only committed one foul!We only gave five free kick away all game
You must be doing some very selective reading. I’d say it’s probably 50/50 on this thread praise and criticism. I’m in the he did OK camp, not sure what some people would expect if him coming on in the situation as it was but if he was as bad as some say he was we would possibly have lost or drawn that gameWhat was said as in the criticism? Because all I've read is people keep posting "can't believe the criticism he is getting"

Have a feelling he is in for a surprise, maybe expecting bit of playing time now with Rodri off and Kovacic not fully fit, but expect Pep to put Lewis, Stones or even Akanji to midfield before starting Phillips. and then Rodri will be back, and Kovacic too.
based on his interview after the game he views this next few weeks a huge chance, lets see how Pep decides.
4 away games coming up in a row, not even easy ones. Castle, Wolves, Leipzig, Arsenal.
Wolves the weakest of these, but I saw them using their midfielders really well vs United and Pool too.they lost both but deffo created some good chances and should have won at Old Toilet if they finish their sitters and get the pen.
I'm not sure anyone is claiming he's set the world on fire, but some of the negativity is way over the top.So is the praise!
Why wouldn't Rodri play v Leipzig? He's not banned in Europe.I said the same pretty much in the Rodri thread.
I think he starts against Newcastle and maybe Wolves, but for Leipzig and Arsenal away I think Stones gets the nod if fit.
A lot depends on how well he does perform this week.
