And made appearances in all the trophies we won. It might not have really worked out from him, thus far, with us but he deserves his medals. He was part of the squad

I've still not managed to see this interview thanks to the amount of alcohol consumed at the game. What did Rodri say?
yeah but he's done fuck all to deserve them!Phillips has got 4 medals since leaving Leeds. Doubt he sees it as a mistake
I can assure I take no pleasure from any of this I wish he was in the process of becoming a sound squad member making a telling contribution. I just don't see this happening and see no point for him hanging around to get the odd cup game or dead rubber in Europe. He seems a nice chap and deserves better. It's impossible to disagree with your final sentence mate!
I am not comparing one to the other ; I am noting that they both need to move on .People have been moaning about how much stick Phillips is getting in this forum and your post gets no reaction.
Comparing Phillips to Greenwood is an utterly cuntish thing to do.
A bizarre comparison to make. Had you meant Mendy and not Phillips, it would have worked better.I am not comparing one to the other ; I am noting that they both need to move on .
If you've been keeping informed of recent events you will be aware that this need arises with each player for significantly different reasons, which most readers on this site have sufficient intelligence to grasp.
However , if you wish to contort my words to support your imagined fantasies that I do , in some way , compare these two players , in your earnest quest to enlist in the ranks of the permanently offended, then be my guest ; glad to have made your day.

Carson is clearly an integral part of the goalkeeping setup Eddie spoke on it many times at the end of last season...didn't see rodri thanking Phillips for his input into the cdm department! But Carson has ?
Nothing against Carson but your logic is skewed, and Phillips is any easy target for so many on here.
Don't remember Paul Smith. Seen Neil Young and Ronnie Healy play for the reserves but never for the first team. Years later I worked at Ronnie's House decorating for his son Scott, who's a good lad.For some reason I remember watching a guy called Paul Smith a cracking midfielder who did his knee good and proper just as he was about to break through. My first experience of stadium football, those reserve games.
