This is the guy who gets all the early team news every week
Let's hope he does go somewhere before the window closes. He clearly isn't in our plans and is adding no value.

For any of our normal players I would agree 100% but for Kalvin Phillips?I see no point in LOANING Kalvin to a direct rival in the league. We cant be that desperate for money we are willing to help our rivals just to not pay his salary. If they want him they would have to buy him.
Ironically that would probably be the formation that would suit Phillips best.

Obligation I meant sorryA buy option has no upside whatsoever to us, only to the club that has the option.
Although it feels that way we currently have 22 players, which is the exact number we’ve had for the last 5 seasons (in which we’ve won 4 prems- to me that’s not coincidenceI can see us going for a proper 4231 this season with Lillo back and the signings of Kovacic and Nunes.
If that's the case then I'm not too worried about replacing Phillips if he leaves. Still feel like we're short on numbers though.
Liverpool are not a direct rival. Not anymore.I see no point in LOANING Kalvin to a direct rival in the league. We cant be that desperate for money we are willing to help our rivals just to not pay his salary. If they want him they would have to buy him.
Unless he would fit in their system and look decent, then it would be an absolutely awful piece of business. Why risk helping our rivals just to save a small amount, we are not poor. Very little upside and a big downside. They just offered 115m for Caicedo, they can afford to buy Phillips. We should not be doing them any favors. For any of our normal players I would agree 100% but for Kalvin Phillips?
It would be the perfect end to a very successful window.
