Why the fuck are we loaning Phillips to them lot?? £40-50m sale or nothing!
I don't for one second see what he would give them, it's a desperate signing if it's true.Unless he would fit in their system and look decent, then it would be an absolutely awful piece of business. Why risk helping our rivals just to save a small amount. Very little upside and a bid downside. They just offered 115m for Caicedo, they can afford to buy Phillips. We should not be doing them any favors.

Far, far easier to play as the holding midfielder in a Klopp side than a Pep side. They just need a water carrier. Phillips is the perfect replacement for Henderson.I don't for one second see what he would give them, it's a desperate signing if it's true.

Nobody is buying him, lets be honest. Hes been publically ridiculed by City, barely played any minutes and has no place in the current squad. We have zero leverage with other teams.
Best we can hope for is a loan move and he performs and then maybe theres some competition next summer.

This may have been the masterplan all along. We have been playing the long game: sign Phillips, loan him to the dippers, dippers get relegated!
