Kalvin Phillips

Its an absolute mystery. Will probably be revealed when he had officially retired
The only two players I can think of who went a little the same way were Dele Alli and Stephen Ireland.
Both just no longer wanted to play football but that was all they knew.

All went to the same Danny Mills school held in the physio treatment room

seems Wolves are interested, he can get the coach back after the game on Saturday to save on his petrol bill.

Very smart of Viana to open these talks late enough in the window, so that Kalvin couldn't possibly feature against us at the weekend!
Playing Chess not checkers there! Haha

Kidding aside, I hope for Kalvin's sake he gets a loan option with Wolves an plays well enough that he finds his passion for football again and possibly talks himself into taking a pay cut to get transferred somewhere permanently during the summer window.

At the end of the day no one forced us to sign him to a six year deal, and if wants to see it through that is his decision. We all can judge, but he likely will never make this type of money again in his life, so I don't blame him at all if that is what he decides to do to provide for his family.
Hopefully the club learns a valuable lesson from this fiasco of a transfer.

We signed Lewis up for another 6 ? Have we learned ?

Fair, but he got a raise to a reported 25,000 a week.
Peanuts to what we're going to be paying Kalvin for the next two years if we can't get something figured out this week or upcoming summer.

Here’s hoping.

A 6 year deal and £150,000 a week for a player who had only 1 year experience in the PL, was odd. No problem giving a 6 year deal to a player on less than £100,000 as if it doesn’t work out at least there is a good chance of moving the player on. Don’t recall even having any competition for him either.

I also think Marmoush on £295,000 a week was odd since he was only on £35,000 at Frankfurt.

25,000 a week no wonder us pensioners get pissed of lol. The point I was trying to make is the length of the contracts we sign some of the players up to.

Yeah, believe me those reported wages certainly raised a eyebrow over here when I saw that as well.
Goal scorers tend to get to dictate those terms a little more though in the history of football, because as well all know its incredibly hard to find them.

Of course the obvious response to that is we need Omar to start finding the back of net on a regular basis more often very soon to justify those astronomical wages for the rest of this decade.

Think Marmoush is on 200k a week + bonuses.

And to be honest he looks like he deserves every bit of it, he actually puts in effort, runs like a madman pressing high, left, right and can put the ball in the net. Been a year he's been here and never once have I heard anyone say Marmoush doesn't hustle or work hard enough for the club.

If a player proves themself at the club, the club and player can always negotiate a new contract and a weekly wage more befitting of a top player in the squad.

We have to find him first ? he last seen walking down Ashton New Road to Tony's chip shop
I’m sure we’d find him somewhere in the CFA.

Also sure the club would let Wolves do the medical next door at the MIHP.

Then he could play Saturday without having to travel to Wolverhampton.
