Kate Bush turns 60 today

I never got Kate Bush and I don't like her music.
She's talented, but she does her best to hide it, it's almost like a myth.
I'm gonna say it, she's fucking useless.
She's the female Morrissey, without the charismatic charm.
And an album every thirty years says lazy at best. Expecting everyone to fawn over her is a little self indulgent at best.

I think it was in 1979 when I was driving home. Radio 1 had a programme on Friday evening at the time where new releases were reviewed by a panel of experts. I can't remember what it was called, but I think Paul Gambaccini hosted the show.
Just as I got home, Wuthering Heights started playing, and I was transfixed. I stayed sitting in the car listening to the song and then heard the experts rubbish it, saying it was awful.
I thought it was magical, and so did milliions of others.
I've always liked Kate Bush, and that was the start.
Wuthering Heights is, to this day, one of my favourite ever songs from a unique artist. She is the only musician I have bought every album they have released.

That’s genuinely what I think all Bush’s songs sound like. If you didn’t show me the visuals to that video I would honestly believe that was one of her songs. She hurts my ears.
