It's great for Kev to get this...a just reward for all his brilliant goals and assists this season.

This isn't the PFA player of the year award is it?

That's the biggie

Nope it isn't the PFA poty and agree that's the biggie.

For those that don't know (often confusion about this) the main 3 are:

1.
PFA POTY - not announced
and PFA Young POTY - not announced
PFA TEAM OTY - not announced

2.
FWA (Football Writers) POTY - Henderson

3.
Premier League POTY - KDB
Premier League Young POTY - TAA (first time for this award)

No City player has ever won the main PFA POTY but Sterling won the PFA Young POTY last season and Sane the year before.

Sterling won the FWA POTY last season. Previous City winners were Don Revie in 1955, Bert Trautman in 1956 and Tony Book in 1969.

KDB is the 2nd City winner of the Premier League POTY. Only previous winner was Kompany in 2012.

I am genuinely afraid Kevin might lose patience with the club.

Well any club in the world would want him and he’d walk into any team in the world so there’s always that danger

However his family is very settled here and he’s tied to a long term lucrative contract so I don’t think it’s something we need to worry about at the moment

Why would he? This happens at every top club? Bayern sacked their manager earlier in the season when things weren't going right for them. Juve haven't won a CL in 1996, Barca are a mess, Madrid need a huge overhaul etc.

When is the PFA announced?

By the way, I find it a bit typical of the Premier League to hand De Bruyne this award the day after we get knocked out of the CL.

Yeah, I'm actually struggling to think of any top players that have left a top side just for the CL. Also the idea that De Bruyne would just abandon us and show no loyalty seems unfair to him.
