Keir Starmer

I remember not so long ago when Rees Mogg was at pains to stress that Sue Gray was completely independent.
It's hard to be independent and not think the Tories are awful.

"Having been given the task of investigating the parties at 10 Downing Street for which the then PM (and the current PM) were fined, my report was as neutral as it could be given the blatant disregard shown for rules they'd created. But having seen what they're like, I suddenly felt compelled to help remove them from office. Anyway, the Conservative-majority committee report is even more damning, so unless the Tory MPs on the committee are all planning to defect to Labour, no-one can really think I was biased, so what's the problem?"

There's people on here who don't want Labour in power. I'd love to know their alternatives
The eternal question those of us on the left face.

I am a Socialist to my core, I believe the collective is more powerful than the individual.

It is right that we the people have and own our natural resources, it is right they are nationalised so we all benefit, its right that we the people have democratic control over local and national services. Its right we tax people properly to reduce the inequality gap created by neo liberalism. Its right we have an NHS that serves all the people all the time free at the point of use, its right we have a welfare system that provides a safety net for those in need, its right we respect our treaty obligations on measurers such as asylum but at the same time make sure our borders are safe. It is right we are anti imperialist, its right we give foreign aid, it is also right we are out of the EU.

I am apparently "far left" a commie etc for wanting equality of opportunity for everyone regardless of background, wealth or suitability to fit into our national profile.

At the moment Labour do not offer anything more than status quo capitalist exploitation of the working class. Cue Marxist comments from the Liberal left who would rather fight us on the left than confront the real enemy. The Liberal left who are as big a danger as the the Tory far right with their idiotic culture war rubbish.

I am a working class Salford born lad, I couldnt give two fucks about the culture war nonsense, I see it as we are being played by Capitalist interest to divert us from the fact this country is sliding into the worst poverty crisis of the last few hundred years.

Vote Labour for more capitalism, no thanks. "Grandola, Vila Morena"

I will vote for a left wing party if they stand, if not, for the first time ever I will not vote. That saddens me.

An addendum to my previous post

Streeting, Reeves et al are fucking charlatans.
They absolutely are. Streeting could easily sit on the Tory benches today. Now. Not in a wettish government but in the furthest right government I can ever remember, today. How Streeting is allowed anywhere near a shadow cabinet post is beyond comprehension. Reeves is similar but Wes is the exemplar.
Get rid of Barclay, get Streeting is nothing like a choice we should be getting from a prospective labour government…..
