Bizarre that Leadsom's first gripe is about Just Stop Oil, and then bleating that Labour voted against the govt. If that's the worst she could come up with, it's quite the non-statement.

I don't really see how any pledges on future spending are worth making - the economic conditions in 18 months time could be anything, and announcements would be an open goal to have them made more difficult by the govt.
Thought he dealt pretty well (unsurprisingly) with the regular interjections.

Very underwhelming from Starmer, and he was extremely uncomfortable when asked basic questions which he knew he was going to be presented with.

Anyone can make glib aspirations around growth and reform, but there’s very little behind it, even allowing for the restrictions presented by the cost of borrowing. I suspect he’ll struggle to keep his party happy if he wins.

It was amusing to see how poor that panel was, though. In fact they almost did the impossible in making Leadsom look good. That knob from the silly website was terrible, but not half as bad as Sharon White.

Very underwhelming from Starmer, and he was extremely uncomfortable when asked basic questions which he knew he was going to be presented with.

He might get lucky on the economy, and if the Bank of England starts cutting rates that will give him a bit of cash to play with. But I suspect he’ll struggle to keep a lid on things internally, particularly if he tries some serious changes within the NHS.

He will also have to come up with a much better example of how he reformed the CPS than the paper stuff. He sounded like a bit of a dick when he started talking about that to be honest.

I'm convinced Starmer won't stay in power long. If he gets it that is.

We've just been through the most damaging time for the tories and Starmer hasn't capitalised on that as much as they could.

But I do think Raynor would take the party and country by storm. She's somewhere in between starmer and Corbyn. But she's a mile away from the career eton twats that have fucked everything up.

The problem is his whole focus is on not being like the party from 2019, which had an image issue with a lot of the electorate someof it's own doing, but mainly from a hostile media and PLP.

He approach though to distance all things traaditiona labour and embrace a completely non commital agenda woth hints of camerons time mke him come across vacant of ideas bar soundbites

I’m never going to agree with the Politics Joe bloke, but his comments about how cheap it is currently for the government to borrow were frankly laughable, and I’m afraid he lost any credibility after that.

They way he kept looking at his shoes after he made a point was odd as well.
