Don’t Labour often get accused of spunking money up the wall?
Shouldn’t folk be happy that they are looking to be a bit more prudent and making sure the finances are there before committing a said amount on something?

I think what you are describing is the 'trickle down' economics of the Reagan/ Thatcher era. On the face of it a sound theory, but in practice the wealth doesn't seem to trickle so much.
No. Don’t believe in it.

I don’t believe the largesse if the wealthy trickles down, only that invested money us productive, not just stuffed in a mattress called “hoarding.”

well for starters it is untaxed there so that alone "makes" money and thats before the institution where its placed uses it to invest and pays interest on it too
Not true. Taxed on receipt (Income tax) and taxed when (if) taken back (Capital Gains tax) on any interest paid. And, it’s a process that’s available to all, not just the wealthy.

It’s how most people with a job on here will be able to retire!

At what point does he say , “this is our policy” irrespective of the current shitshow?
Carrying that Ming vase must be purgatory.
