one interesting statistic (sorry it's a little off topic, but it is a response to your post), the majority of religious people voted in favour of brexit, the majority of those with no religion voted against it, and i think the only religion that didn't vote majority leave was islam (who voted more heavily remain than any group, after no religion). interesting to see those believing in imaginary things voting for imaginary things

Yeah but it boils down to one thing, if the UK was running on a socialist principal and had ensured a good trade relationship within europe with a goal to change the EU from a really wanj system that shits on most members

Then voting leave would have been the right choice unless you were a tory or liberal and self centerrd.

Leavijg the EU is only bad depending on the government at the time

This made me smile.

You were doing so well, and then......

I'd love to know where this is, precisely?
You have misquoted me. I said on the Left and Right pf politics. People like Johnson and Starmer are just two sides of the same coin. They are part of the London-based chattering class sect who treat the rest of us with total contempt. I once met the DG of the BBC at an event where he boasted about the BBC regions output. I told him that I lived in the regions and so did 50 million other people and I didn't understand why 50 million people should be regarded as some sort of ghetto. The vast majority of people live outside the M25 and we have been disregarded.

You may have a point somewhere in there, but it has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with the centralisation of power anywhere on the left.

The reality is the left is fighting a rearguard action to exist even within the Labour Party! With its former leader no longer even a Labour MP having had the whip removed!

You think the DG of the BBC doesn't give a fuck about the regions because he's got a copy of Das Kapital tucked under his pillow?

Any sense of alienation you and millions like you might feel is not the result of two ideologically opposed power blocks slugging it out and pissing on the centre, that's a fairy tale, backed up with zero evidence, and it's backed up with zero evidence because it simply isn't true.

Strange to be spending time on such inconsequential people. Proscribing groups is something that should be the exclusive domain of the government. Or do the Labour Party not believe in freedom of association?

Having read very briefly about Socialist Appeal, I imagine a meeting of them would be very much like this:

I think you'll find BBC London is one of the BBC regions.

Starmer studied law in Leeds, under Labour we heard less about "levelling up" (the Tory solution to another problem of their creation), but some on here will be miffed that you think Starmer is on the Left.

I'd stop digging.

We have one member in the constituency who hijacks every internal discussion to slag off Starmer. He's really begging to be thrown out but I doubt he's one of those groups, just a disgruntled Corbyn fan.

Some see it as a badge of honour to be suspended or thrown out of the party by Sir Keir.

Like my unions decisions to leave them. The GS of our sister union Oz described it in his speech as "I'd rather piss inside the tent than out of it"

Would those people rather see Johnson win another election because that’s what’s going to happen unless the party unites behind Starmer. Their man, Corbyn, has failed. It’s time to give his successor some proper backing rather than sniping from the sidelines.
