Keir Starmer

They're not actually.
But if it helps you sleep at night for voting Tory that's fine.

That's how it is.

It's not enough for the right to attack, disparage, mute, hound, ridicule and destroy their opposition, because that still allows the faint possibility that they might be booted out .

It is therefore essential to undermine the democratic process itself, in order to preclude any possibility of meaningful change. This is done in a number of ways, misinformation, distraction, scapegoating and now restricting access to the ballot box.

Overarching this is the persistent right wing drumbeat that it's all pointless anyway, politicians are all the same, so even if the system wasn't rigged, elections are meaningless, they just replace one bunch of duplicitous scheming bastards with another bunch of duplicitous scheming bastards.

So it's not worth bothering, watch Love Island instead.

Always of course with the help of their client newspapers and a timid broadcast media.
Bit like having the ref on your side in football.

I see that if Corbyn stands as an Independent for re-election in Islington North Lisa Nandy will campaign against him and knock on doors in Islington.

Silly woman.
She really wants to betray her roots to get into that London metropolitan labour group.

I can see her campaign now. It will be full of slurs against him.

I’d expect and hope nothing less of a Labour MP to campaign in the hope of keeping a seat Labour.

I’d also question what good Corbyn thinks he’s doing by standing as an independent candidate. Short of feeding his ego.

If I were a Labour voter in Wigan I'd wonder why my MP was campaigning in Islington and not bringing her manifesto story to me at home in person
Because there will be no 'story' because as an electorate we don't do detail. There will be no bold promise of a transformative agenda just an emphasis on what they aren't rather than what they are.
Title : Under New Management
Synopsis: Keep emphasising the above safe in the knowledge that the Tories will eventually drown in a sea of their own sleaze and we can recreate the glory years of the late nineties.
Must have been the same focus group that have been in charge of succession plans over at the swamp.

MP’s come from all different backgrounds, Yes posh Eton schools and many from poor backgrounds, there is loads of diversity, men, woman many have worked in the public sector, many in private sector, good people that have worked their hardest to represent their constituents and care deeply and yes some useless selfish MP’s.

but anyone who really believes the most annoying cliche of all time that ‘they’re all the same’ are usually thick and ignorant.
