That is what irks many, he is going all a clone of cameron to appeal to the tory vote and annoying the party left and centre.It is a sad indictment of our current political system that politicians cannot be honnest because even though 10 million could vote for your party it iisn't refelcts in westminster

I mean just under 900000 voted green and 3.5 million voted lib dem yet a hypothetical 3 party coalition to keep the tories out was imposible because of 1st past the post

Starmer is only interested in his legacy so 2 terms as PM under fptp is fine by him.

I just hope he can play the long game with electoral reform, because it was Blair’s failure to do so that has given us the last eight years of Tory majority rule and all the terrible consequences that have flowed from that.

All tories are very enamoured with Starmer.
 
Jamie Driscoll was widely regarded as the best candidate to stand for Labour in the North East Mayoral election.
Because he believes in traditional Labour values lake progressive taxation, regulation or nationalisation of utilities, transport etc, he has been overlooked in favour of a Blairite.
He started a go fund me page this morning hoping to raise £25,000 in I think it was three or four weeks.
He is already at £23,000 and will be standing as in Independent Left candidate.

A Labour leader with traditional Labour values cannot win a GE in this country. The numbers don’t add up.
