Keir Starmer

You stated we know what we will get with him. Now, what you interpret and what I interpret could be miles apart, so asking you to give us your understanding
Ok. I'm not typing it all into my phone, so I posted the link above. Not that I imagine you are interested.

Sweeping statement?? I'd expect better from a lawyer. I simply said I think you know what you're getting with Farage.
Which is manifestly a sweeping statement, as it is embarrassing for want of particularity. I thought I’d give you an opportunity to rectify that.

If I said you get great food at Gaucho, would I have to list the menu?
No, but I might wonder why you think that. Personally, never had a bad meal there, and a few exceptional ones, and some of their reds are incredible, but I think it’s a bit overpriced for what it is and the decor tends to somewhat oppressive. Think Pasture does the pretty much the quality same for less money and the decor is far less sombre.

A few well know policies.
- privatised health service
- no minimum wage
- no working from home
- zero contract hours
- ICE style detention centres in non-reform councils
- alliances with Russia

Just off the top of my head. There's many more gems.
Don’t forget tax threshold raised to £20k, only for Farage to backtrack like fuck when pushed.

No problem. I think most sensible people can see what Farage and his cronies are all about
So, as I thought, you weren't actually interested, just wanting an argument.

Not surprised I didn't see any of the "cronies" on here - your words - talking about protecting the NHS, restoring Britain's sovereignty, reducing energy bills, supporting farmers, revitalising British manufacturing, defending British culture and traditions or making Britain a great place to start a business.

No those are far too sensible to try to mock.

No, I’m interested in your understanding of what Farage/Reform will offer, not what they are purporting to offer, which on face value, you seem to have swallowed.

I'm not a fan of Farage, far from it. But I don't think you could put him in the same two-faced camp as Starmer. His views may be odious to some, but he is at least consistent with them. Who knows, I may be wrong, but my strong sense is that at least you know what you are getting if you vote for Farage.

What you get from Farage, and Polanski, is an appeal to our inherent parsimony bias where we favour simple solutions over complex solutions. Generally that bias serves us well when the question being asked is simple but doesn’t serve us well when the question is complex.

Because people see him for what he is. An absolute slimeball of a politician who will say absolutely anything and mean not a word of it.

Everything is "my top priority" to please the crowds, when in reality nothing is. A man who said he would put the interests of the country ahead of that of the party, and the party ahead of him as an individual. When in reality none of that is true.

A man who said he will always take responsibility for the mistakes of others he leads... And then sacks them.

A man (a steaming hypocrite in fact) who was first to jump up and down at any hint of Tory sleeze, yet says "nothing to see here" when caught doing same.

It is a cliche to say "How can you tell when a politician is lying - you can see their lips move." But Starmer embodies that sentiment more than any politician in living memory.

And people can smell it. That's why they hate him.
Well said.

His critic of Starmer, sounds like the perfect description of Farage, hilarious.

All Farage has done is to pledge to fix all the country’s woes without having a clue how to do or pay for it, and some believe it.

Surely, what they are purporting to offer is what they will offer.... what makes you think it will be different? Not everyone is like Starmer.

ahhhhh... reminds me of those good old "we'll smash the gangs days".... Starmer = lots of talk, no plans, no method of delivery no action (except to bung a few extra million over the channel to his European friends (might be looking for a back door into the EU) ... just empty promises.
