I put a tenner on him to be first goal scorer at 10/1 on his England debut against Spain.
He was clean through one on one and fluffed it.

His other 2 were boths half games as well with different players being tried out in the warm ups, he played one as CB and one as Sweeper.

After the Euros he has Adams, Walker, Pallister and Keown to contend with, and his and City's form declined a but, with one average and 3 relegation contender seasons, and he left to captain wolves.

His last game at Maine Road was as a left back for Sheff United. At his peak he was against Des Walker who was claimed to be the best in the world.

Look at some of the Premier League defenders now. The only thing Curle had against him(less his poor defending against Cardiff away V Nathan Blake) was his height.

Absolutely. He had everything to be the stand out player for our present system. He is possibly the fastest player I've seen.
