Kelechi Iheanacho

In all honesty, and I think I've said this before on here, but the work permit requirements in England are fucking dumb beyond belief. They honestly infuriate me.

"So, you'll earn a 7-figure salary, pay a fortune in taxes, not claim a penny in benefits and promise to refrain from committing acts of terrorism, sir?"

"Yes".

"We don't want the likes of you here. Fcuk off."

Probably be sold to a championship club for peanuts in 18 months

Yep, and then fall by the wayside like so many of our promising youngsters. I really wonder whether we have the right coaches to bring through talented players. Only time will tell I suppose. Micah had the raw power but no one was able to coach him to be a better defender or footballer. Chelsea on the other hand look like they consistently produce good players and then get them loaned out.

Not sure Chelsea produce them. Don't they buy, then stockpile loads of young players, loan them out, then cherry-pick or sell them on at a profit?

Not knocking it. Seems a viable, if selfish, business strategy.

Yeah, 26 amazing isn't it.

The loanees are spread across eight countries. Yet we hit fucking red tape if we try loaning any of our new players out.

Training with the Columbus Crew in the US. Scored a hat trick in their last friendly.

Patrick Murphy@_Pat_Murphy_ Follow
The "Academy player" who scores the hat trick is actually 17-year old Man City player Kelechi Iheanacho, who is training with #Crew96

Berhalter said the Iheanacho training deal was facilitated by Claudio Reyna, who has connections through Manchester City. Played for 4 years

100%

Courtois, Sturridge, Zouma, Van Ginkel, Piazon etc.

Last decent player they actually produced was John Terry.

Where'd you get that from - and I guess the more obvious question is why is he training with Columbus Crew?

Why loan out? He can be the 4th striker

I think when or if he comes in October he will start out as 4th choice and play in the League Cup to start with, that's if we beat Wednesday of course.

It depends on what Manuel sees in training as well, if he is performing against the the seniors I can see him getting some game time in the league, and if he ends up scoring a few he won't be going out on loan.

If pre-season was anything to go by he looks very promising and for me what impresses me the most is that he looks fearless, which is something I find a lot of promising young players find hard to deal with when on the pitch with the seniors.

We all know from the EDS etc they have talent but can they show that earless trait that makes them get a first team place on a regular basis.

Lopes showed a fearless attitude in last seasons League Cup games and that's why for me I believe he will go on to become a decent player.

Sterling at Liverpool when he played a few games at 17 a few years ago, the boy was fearless.
