Kelechi Iheanacho

I was very impressed with the player, a prodigious talent no doubt, but he is very young and expectancy levels should be realistic.

According to transfer market he rejoins us in January from his loan spell at Columbus Crew on January 1st. I hope all the issues are resolved and there certainly seems nothing in the media to suggest otherwise; I am sure there would be if it had fallen apart as he is considered one of the very best young footballers in the world.
it's alleged he's been training with the first team squad in Manchester for some time actually

he was playing for us in july and it`s now the middle of December and still no work permit, isn`t that a bit odd and a bit long or have I totally missed something?
We could even start the process untill he turned 18, which was a month or so ago, and we aren't allowed to register him untill January anyway (I think). Government shit takes ages, especially as we probably have been taking our time sorting out our case for him being a special talent. I presume we are taking our time to making sure the application is succesful, instead of trying to get it done as quickly as possible. All just guessing though, I don't think any of us really know how this work permit tribunal stuff works
Is he actually registered with another club or can we sign him and play him now (subject to work permit) as a 'free agent'?

I doubt he'd even join Pozo on the bench if he was available.

Must be better playing up front on his own. At least he has the build for it and he looked good pre-season (which isn't the best measure but we are desperate.)

I think he might start if the three main strikers are still injured.
No chance in my opinion.

I understand being excited about a prospect but people expecting this kid to be signed and then lumped straight into the first team, injuries or not, may be disappointed.

Hes not going to drop Pozo from the reckoning to get him in, that would be crushing to the young lad. He was decent at best in preseason.

People wanting him to be our 4th choicd striker were perhaps the same who pleaded for Guidetti to be in that role last season.
