I doubt he'd even join Pozo on the bench if he was available.

I think he might start if the three main strikers are still injured.
No chance in my opinion.

I understand being excited about a prospect but people expecting this kid to be signed and then lumped straight into the first team, injuries or not, may be disappointed.

Hes not going to drop Pozo from the reckoning to get him in, that would be crushing to the young lad. He was decent at best in preseason.

People wanting him to be our 4th choicd striker were perhaps the same who pleaded for Guidetti to be in that role last season.

MP would give both Pozo and Nacho the opportunity to shine and Nacho would grab his chance with both hands. Pozo has a lot of potential and I believe in the next 2 - 3 years he would be ready but not now . Nacho, on the other hand is mentally and physically ready.

Nacho also have that slight arrogance and self belief to make himself heard and noticed. Quite the contrary from Pozo.

Just remembered this guy and mentioned him in another thread. Whatever happened with him? He was amazing in the preseason.

So preseason? A handful of preseason games?

Against preseason calibre opposition, when Scott Sinclair was scoring goals?

Based on that he is "mentally and physically ready" to spearhead a title charge, fuck me..

Yaya or Silva would play upfront before he would if we had to go one up top, failing that we sign a striker in January.

I never said that . This was all about comparing Nacho and Pozo .

Well you have him playing in our last two PL games and have said he is "mentally and physically" ready so what are you saying?

Youve seen him play about 3 games in preseason and have him "mentally and physically" ready to play in the Premier League....

Pozo's been playing, and playing well, for the EDS this season and earned a chance with the first team. Iheanachcho would have to have proven himself at that level before he got a chance. Someone like Ambrose would get a shot ahead of him.

That's why I said MP would give both Pozo and Nacho a chance to shine and I strongly believe Nacho would take advantage of any opportunity given to him. I am not trying to take anything away from Pozo but he should have done better with that cross from Milner (the Everton game), Nacho would have certainly put that one at the back of the net. I agree its kind of silly to say Nacho would "take the team by storm" just because of some preseason games but we could also say the same about Pozo ? The EDS isn't quite the real thing , its just a learning curve

Lets not forget Nacho played against the likes of Rami and Mexes and still scored a beautiful goal and completed most of his passes
