Kelechi Iheanacho

He's not technically gifted, sometimes he looks like Lescott with ball but he is scoring goals and hopefully will finish like Dzeko and similar goal scorers who were not really that great footballers but very good goal scorers.
Can't agree at all. He is definitely technically gifted, he lost his footing a few times today but his use of the ball is usually pretty good. He has a big future, he's just young and learning so will make mistakes.

His biggest issue today was having to play alongside Kun who was interested in only himself and his quest for the golden boot.

I'm actually getting pissed off with Kun, as magnificent as he can be and his selfish play.

Early in the game Kelechi didn't play him in and boy did Kun let him know and it clearly affected the lad imo.

I envisage Kun getting quite a bit of instruction from Pep.

Good posts, love Sergio, but he needs to play for the team, and he doesn't always.

Haven't watched Swansea game but from before - if he gets the ball in the space it's usually OK but if he gets it in tight spaces it doesn't always look great.

Mixed bag today, some good moments, some bad, and some unlucky. Got to love his enthusiasm and desire to prove himself though, such a contrast to some of his teammates.

I have no idea who you're talking about, but Kelechi not technically gifted? Laughable claim and totally amiss from reality.

Yes, he has his rough spots, but thats what happens when the quality of opponents jumps dramatically and what worked at youth level doesn't work anymore. But if he didn't have quality technique he wouldn't be such a meticulous finisher.

Wouldn't say he's not technically gifted but he's not great with his technique either. However, it's more to do with him being a youngster than being poor technically.

If anything, yesterday might help make him. He will realise ( if he didn't already ) he is not the finished article. He will learn more about from days like this than he will from scoring a hattrick. It's all about opinions and nothing about yesterday changed mine. He will ( IMO ) go on to be a top striker in the next season or two, let's hope it's with city
