Labour doing its usual trick of shooting itself in the foot. Wasn't Corbyn supposed to bring unity to the party? Serious question, not looking to WUM anyone.

I think it does have a problem but I also think the right wing press is using it as a stick to beat Corbyn with. I would imagine there are far more Tories who have ideological sympathies with Hitler. They're just not stupid enough to show it publicly.

I'd see getting rid of Ken Livingston as a real win for the Labour party though really. This is probably a great result for them in the long run
 
I'm not sure how taking a particular stance on the issue of Israel can do anything but put someone in the firing line. If you're pro Palestine, then by definition, you're anti Israel and vice versa.
Livingston did make a good point the other night though away from this subject regarding tolerance. He said, "under saddam hussein, a woman could walk through bagdad in a mini skirt without any problems. After the intervention of the West, she'd now get stoned to death".

As the left wing press would, had it been Cameron.
'Imagining' your political opponents having sympathies to odious ideologies, does not
have the same effectiveness as catching one (two), in the act.

Blarites like Mann jumping on this to protect their own rather than seek unity within the party. I've given up as everytime Labour make headway against the tories a story like this pops up.

I'm confused as fuck now when it comes to what is and what isn't classed as antisemitism? People are using it as a catch all rather than what it should be and will lose any power as a word should it continue.
 
Out of interest, has anyone watched the clip of the MP chasing him around just yelling "you're a Nazi sympathiser" at him repeatedly? I'd probably chin someone if they did that to me, how on earth is that considered acceptable behaviour? Obviously Ken Livingston is an absolute prat and needs kicking out but that other MP wouldn't be far behind him if I was in charge. Utterly unprofessional and looked very much like a publicity stunt, making sure the cameras were there to show him call him out. Fuck the party, I want my 5 minutes of fame. Drown them both I reckon
 
Hope Labour get rid of him. It's attitudes like his that seem to be prevalent in the hard left of the Labour party that makes Labour unelectable. His willingness to share a platform with the likes of the misogynist, homophobic anti-semite Yusuf al-Qaradawi don't help the Labour cause and irrespective of his personal views, this calls his judgement into question.
 
weird how Shah is still in her job unless I missed something yet they have (rightfully) suspended Livingstone. Honestly the Labour party is imploding. Which whatever way you look at it is not good news for democracy in the UK.

It's John Mann, labour MP. He's said to be part of the investigation into the anti-semitism claims within the Labour party.

Well he appears to be a self serving **** more interested in getting his face on TV than actually helping his party. Most people with even a modicum of professionalism would have confronted him behind closed doors, not in front a mob of journalists, but I guess that wouldn't have put him in the spotlight. Both Labour and the Conservatives seem to have a major problem at t he moment with party unity, it's a self serving free for all at the moment, no one seems in control
