ketamine?

no idea mate duno wats happen too in depth just the jist from wat his house mate said the police said.

just wondering how long he would get its either £300 or £2k worth im not sure either way i think he is in trouble. if it was me ide just grass the other guy in. bad times.

ohh dear.... I don't like doing this, but.... look, unless the police have any evidence of a connection between this guy and your mate, evidence that the other guy sent it, evidence that your mate consented to recieve drugs through the mail, then they actually have near enough fuck all to go on. you cannot control what people send you in the mail. if your mate consented, he could be in serious trouble, as that amount would clearly be taken as evidence of intent to supply. The crime here can't be 'possesion', which comes under the Misuse of Drugs act, it is Unauthorised Importing of a controlled substance (or something like that), which comes under the Customs act. both have the same penalties, more or less. I don't know the specifics. He needs legal advice. He has to refuse to talk to the police until he gets it.

Ketamine isn't a controlled substance, or it wasn't, so he would be prosecuted under the medicine act, However I no longer keep up with the drug acts so i maybe out of date.

Edit : A quick internet search: Legal Status

Class C: Ketamine carries penalties for possession of up to 2 years imprisonment and an unlimited fine.
Supply/trafficking can carry penalties of up to 14 years imprisonment and an unlimited fine..
