I was outside Scunny before the game yesterday, and King Kev turned up (in a mightily impressive Bentley!) and got out, stood there for over 20 minutes in the drizzle signing autographs and getting photographed,
Absolute gent of a man, and the City fans there gave him a great reception.
I'm glad that some at City still remember the happy times he brought us, rather than worrying about his mistakes. When he went, I've no complaints that he had to go, but I don't think enough Blues realise the cracking job he did.
Oh, and the "he's not a Premiership manager"... first season back in the Premiership we finished 9th.... which is something Hughes couldn't do even after spending the thick end of £120m.
Took Newcastle to 4th. ... 3rd... and 2nd.... and if we get a manager that could achieve that he will be canonised and given the Freedom of Manchester! Oh, and an FA Cup final as well...
