Why ? did the medical team injure his hamstring ? It's all this pressing game we're doing all of a sudden. Klopp had issues with one or two of his players last season but they now seem to be better conditioned. This is why I see Liverpool winning the league. On form they are playing fabulous football like us but they won't have the injuries that we will suffer because all they have is the league to focus on.
To be fair, we didn't press the opposition once last season and were inundated with injuries. So I don't think it has anything to do with pressing.

Injuries are going to happen, just look at the physio table to see each team.
We can cope.

We have every right to question our medical team. Why are they beyond criticism ? This is another NON impact soft tissue injury, the kind of which has caused us untold problems in recent years ( since 2012). If our "crack" medical and conditioning team was so good why cant they help Vinnie, not to mention addressing our deplorable record with soft tissue injuries recently. Our players health/fitness is the only threat to us winning the league and I just hope Pep gets this right with the new people he brought in.

It's a question of knowing when to rotate and when to make subs. Pep probably thought it was too much of a risk to sub Kev when it was 2-1 and the game was in the balance even though he was clearly tired. It's another reason why we need to put games to bed as early as possible. We've yet to win a game really comfortably away from home yet.

Spot on thunder, let's hope we get to the bottom of the mess we have with muscle injuries. It's gone on for too long!

Stoke?

For all his attributes I think stamina is an issue for Kev. Either that or pacing himself in games to see out 90 plus minutes. I remember when he signed for us it was the only real Critism the German fans had. He does visably tire towards the end of matches.

Doesn't explain last season. We also managed to injure a player with probably a better injury record, Bony, prior to the malaria. Our general injury records have been pants since we fired Batty. Pep typically had a poor injury record at Bayern and also fell out with their doctor (must be a theme) but that's even less reason to be looking at De Bruyne. Send us the fittest player in the world, and we'll have him in the stands with a hamstring injury inside a month.
