Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

KDB played badly and as when the OP was made its not the first time either. However just like Sterling he is adapting to a new team and for him a new league so yeah he gets some slack. Interesting to see what Pep does with KDB and Sterling next season.

I would have kept Yaya on and subbed Kev. The difference between the two is that Yaya is really world class.

Yaya? What year? Certainly not this years version. And people hammering KdB when he was one of if not big reasons we advanced past PSG?!? Wow. He's had games like this before and he looked completely winded. Yaya on other hand can't be bothered at times. His moments of brilliance were otherworldly but they come too infrequently, if at all to keep carrying the big man.

He was shite tonight and the fact he was in a wide position does not excuse that. He has great technical ability but he didn't display it when we really needed him to and he didn't work hard enough. He will need to work harder and lose possession less under Pep or he will become a bench-warmer.

Ken should have been in the middle from the start. Sterling out wide like nav as for balance and energy. Always loved yaya but his legs have gone and he was a passenger from the start. If we can compete with top four in the world under pellets then it can only get better next year

That free-kick when he put it into the side netting...

Not a great night for him.
