Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

I think you're rather over-egging the "fused together" thing there mate. I can't speak for Marvin, but most people and commentators who saw both games thought he was anonymous against Italy and superb against Ireland.

As I listed in my earlier post, Jonathan Pierce, Martin Keown, Richard Dunne and several other journalists said he was anonymous against Italy. Whereas he was actually singled out for praise by the TV analysts in the Ireland game.

I understand some people are big fans of his and think he can do no wrong, but those claiming that he plays at the same level of consistency in every game lack credibility in my view.

i ve not said anything about the lads consistency, anywhere on this thread.have i?
i understand some folk like to play an angle to death and have something to fret about too.
i also understand folk see the game differently, which is why i merged yours and marvins view of kdbs last game togehter to show real inconsistency from two city fans..one of you is chatting shit
which one is it??

I'm Belgian ;-). He was ok, not superb. Don't forget he is known as best player of our squad and our team really depends on him.
He's on 80% of he's capabilities for the moment, when he shoots on goal it's not with the power and sharpness like before. He will grow this tournament and our team will be ready to beat Spain in the semi's and Germany in the final.
We just have a sucky trainer so i hope they will replace him .... . I wish we could have Conte ..

I think this too,he really has to make more of all the talent he has with that team, playing kev in the middle is so obvious but he didn't first game
Most people in my country are thinking the same thing. Play Witsel and Fellaini in the middle against Italy and Kev not in the middle ... .

I'm not convinced that Belgium are actually that good. Decent individuals, but too many square pegs in round holes, and probably one winger too many.
If anything, they remind me of Sven's England, but with dafter hair cuts.

Yep, page 71 towards the bottom of the page.

"No. Thats your judgement pal, and the managers opinion fused together to give the impression of inconsistency."

So your questioning my point about consistency, suggesting it's somehow invalid because I've "fused" my views with someone else.

The reality is I've not "fused" anything. I'm merely illustrating my point with examples.

You made reference to giving the "impression of inconsistency" so I assume that means it's not an accurate impression? Otherwise you'd just say it was evidence of inconsistency.

So yes, you have said something about the lads consistency. I've said he's inconsistent and given examples and you're picking holes in it. So whether you meant to or not, you're commenting on the subject.

I liked the lad, and can't think if a single player who can deliver a ball into the area look like he does. He is also a great finisher. However anyone who says he isn't inconsistent isn't watching him, but surely all players are inconsistent? Aguero is, Silva is, Yaya is. Oh, and he can sometimes be a lazy fucker as well, but I've never been one to judge a player on how many fucking kilometre's he runs each game. Yaya and Silva aren't the greatest at chasing back either, but by Christ they have other qualities that outweigh that 'failing'. We have other players who do the chasing around, close down and win the ball back, then give it to KdB, or Silva or Yaya.

This guy is going to be special for us, let's just enjoy it and not question why he doesn't chase the ball around like a headless chicken.

You made the reference to inconsistency.not me .you have more or less confirmed that now with your over long answer.cheers for that.

Any dip in performance level can almost always be associated with playing him in his unfavoured position,on the wing.

Play him centrally,as a 10,and the lad is generally world class.

Its akin to playing Zabaleta at centrehalf, watching him struggle in an unnatural position, and then suggesting he too is 'inconsistent'

Comical.
