He's not an idiot but he's not a footballer and he will never see potential. You're not wrong. But a lot of people seem to think KDB was average before he went to wolfsburg, he wasn't. Kev won the title with Genk when he was only 18-19. With Genk he had 6 goals and 17 assists in 10/11, 8 goals and 15 assists in 11/12. Was lent to Werder Bremen in 12/13 who were fighting not to get relegated: 10 goals and 10 assists to save Werder from relegation in his very first season in the Bundesliga.
I'm not Mourinho's biggest fan, but i would have never thought he was an idiot. But ignoring KDB was one of the dumbest things i've ever seen a manager do. Just crazy.
Meh idk at the time he overlooked him he just wasn't what mou needed. He was using him in 4231 on the wings and he had hazards creativity on one side, and an inform and possibly next big thing oscar playing centrally. The spot kdb was fighting for was wide right and seemed like mou just wanted more athleticism and pace, which maybe gave schurrle more looks and whoever else they had. Mou defends and counters. Creativity helps but he is very dependent on athleticism which not saying kev isn't, it's just maybe wrong place wrong timeHe's not an idiot but he's not a footballer and he will never see potential.
90% of all successful counters Belgium played the past 6 years, started with De Bruyne. Being able tot read the play, pick out the spot and lay the ball down at the exact spot at the perfect pace is something hè always excelled at. Even back then, you'd have to have been an utter ***** to have thought Oscar was a better player.Mou defends and counters.
