I said to the lads around me at the ground that I rekom he'll end up captain in a few seasons. He might not be that vocal but he doesn't half set an example on the pitch with his effort and performances.

The majority disagreed and believe that john stones will end up captain but I still think Kev will be. 2-3 more seasons.

He is absolute quality.

Playing some of the best football I've ever seen. He's destroying teams. Every time he gets the ball in the middle he looks like he's going to hurt the opposition, such a revelation in central midfield cos it gets him on the ball so much and any space (or sometimes even without that) with our runners he's just slicing teams open repeatedly. Set piece delivery is also some of the best I've seen. The fact he's winning games on top of that banging in 25 yarders I mean fucking hell....

Has the PEG got any previous with talent spotting? Has he developed any player beyond the Wunderkinder from the MANUre Academy who are already developed to Maradonna/Pele/Cruyff pedigree? Or does he just meld a squad into a team that can maximise points without playing beautiful football Catalan-style?

And on another note, does anyone know what MotM goody KdB got? A little yellow box? Toffees, Make Yer Own Muffin Kit, EdP? Didn't seem big enough for a bottle of Chateau Beswick Grand Cru!

Champagne is no longer given as a MotM award since Yaya turned it down on religious grounds, as he is a Muslim.

We've not had someone of this ilk for a long time. Killer Kollers could thump a ball in but he invariably had a pop at goal; Yaya could curl 'em in, but to have someone whipping in a ball that curls round the back line and keeps the goalie on his line is a wonderful asset.
